Chunky Purple Bracelet

I found these great purple beads at JoAnn and thought that they would make a great bracelet. I matched them up with some light pink natural stone beads and I think that it turned out really cute. The cool thing about the purple beads is that they come with the wire wrapped around them already. The pink ones had to be placed on pins with seed beads then worked with the pliers.

Now, I have no idea what I am doing jewelry wise but I really liked the way this one turned out. It is a gift for my niece for her birthday.

Twirly Skirts

This idea was tested by a friend of a friend and is super cute. There are so many variations that can be made with this pattern. The skirt takes just about a yard of fabric and a little imagination and Viola! http://houseonhillroad.typepad.com/photos/twirly_skirt/

Reversible Headbands

I have had a couple of people ask me lately how to make those cute reversible headands. They are quite simple, cute and can be made for only pennies. I found a link that demonstrates it better than I can. Take a look. http://thelongthread.com/?p=669
